Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Healthcare Assistant/Trainee for Minster Ward, an 18-bedded male acute ward. The role focuses on delivering patient-centered care, supporting carers, and promoting recovery for males with mental health issues. Candidates must have a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent, along with Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy skills. Those without the required qualifications are expected to enroll in a Healthcare Assistant Framework to gain necessary certifications within a two-year timeframe.

The Healthcare Assistant will assist in patient care under the guidance of a nurse, engage in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute positively to the care environment for individuals with mental health challenges. The position emphasises professional development and a compassionate approach to meeting the needs of patients and their families.
