ROLE MODEL
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking a Senior Trust Medical Secretary for a 12-month fixed-term contract within its busy Trauma & Orthopaedics department. This role involves providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the department, which includes surgical pre-assessment and outpatient clinics. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact among Consultants, patients, relatives, and healthcare staff, managing communications and maintaining a high level of patient-focused care in line with the Trust’s values of People-focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence.

Key responsibilities include handling daily communications, transcribing medical correspondence, managing patient pathways in accordance with the Trust's RTT policy, and assisting with translation services for patients. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and effective office administration skills to facilitate continuity of service during the Consultant's absence. While internal applicants may consider applying on a secondment basis, the position does not meet UKVI requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa.
