The role of "High Intensity Trainee (HIT)" within NHS Talking Therapies at the Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust involves training to become a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) while gaining practical experience in providing therapy for patients with common mental health issues like anxiety and depression. Trainees will undertake a PG Diploma in High Intensity CBT through the University of East Anglia, blending three days of clinical work per week with two days of study over one academic year. Successful trainees will first be employed at Band 6, moving to Band 7 upon completing their training and gaining BABCP Accreditation. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications, which include having a relevant core profession or equivalent experience and training. The role emphasises staff development and is supported by a clinical supervision program and peer support groups. Additionally, the service values inclusivity and aims to reflect the communities it serves. Candidates should be prepared to work in both remote and in-person formats and may need to travel within Norfolk and Waveney.
