The role of Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) Advisor, Band 4, at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves providing support to patients, carers, and visitors, ensuring a positive experience throughout their healthcare journey. The position is part of a dynamic team focused on delivering personalized care in line with the NHS Long Term Plan. The advisor will be responsible for efficiently handling concerns and enquiries, facilitating early resolution of issues, and maintaining confidentiality while actively promoting the PALS service.

Key responsibilities include offering guidance through various communication channels, collaborating with staff to address real-time issues, maintaining detailed records of concerns, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The role requires strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within Trust policies while fostering partnerships with groups to enhance patient support services. The position is a 30-hour/week commitment, reporting to the PALS Manager, and aims to improve patient and visitor experiences within the hospital setting.
