The Receptionist/Clerical Assistant will provide a confidential reception and administrative service as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at The Christie. Key responsibilities include managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring effective communication within the team and with external parties. The role requires initiative and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge of integrated clinical information systems like Medway.

Key Duties:

  • Greet and assist patients; handle appointment queries and emotional situations with empathy.
  • Accurate data entry and management of patient information using specified systems.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and departments to facilitate patient care.
  • Manage patient transport requests and coordinate follow-up appointments.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Health & Safety policies.
