  • Operate ambulance equipment and respond to company requests
  • Communicate with the patient and others to determine, and then use, the correct combination of ambulance equipment, paramedic skills to meet patient requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate the team responding to an emergency
  • Evaluate the patients condition on the scene and perform preliminary diagnosis
  • Attend to injuries or sudden illnesses by applying a variety of pre-hospital simple and advanced treatments.
  • Use tech equipment and tools to stabilize patients or provide immediate treatment
  • Monitor patients condition en-route to the hospital or specified location
  • Collaborate with interested parties.
  • Adhere to established medical protocols and procedures as well as legal guidelines and health and safety standards
  • Keep abreast with new treatment and medical procedures through continuous training
  • Communicating effectively with patients and their relatives/friends
  • Communicates and documents patients' conditions to other members of medical crew, such as emergency doctors and nurses, upon arrival at medical facility
  • Maintain current professional registration with HCPC
  • Ensure that advanced driving skills are maintained and whilst driving, ensure compliance with legislation and the Highway Code.
  • Ensuring upkeep and cleanliness of vehicle, returning them to the base in a clean standard received & updating the Senior Management of any damage or issues to the ambulance vehicle

The position of Paramedic is responsible for the assessment, care, treatment and transportation of emergency, urgent and routine calls. The role will also include the providing of advanced clinical interventions, including drug therapies at scene and may administer medication within PGD guidelines. There will also be a requirement to undertake emergency blue light driving and work in a variety of locations, such as ambulance vehicles, care settings, hospital settings and events.
