We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and innovative person to join the Physiological Sciences Management team as a Band 5 Support Manager.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills and be able to establish professional relationships with Clinical and non-clinical teams. Supporting the Service Manager, you'll be an excellent problem solver, able to support service changes and improvements across the Physiological Sciences services.
The Support Manager provides day to day support and leadership to the Physiological Sciences administrative teams. Working with the teams to book Audiology, Neurophysiology and Respiratory Physiology appointments the Support Manager is essential in managing patient waiting lists and helping the services meet Trust required targets. To enable this the successful applicant must have excellent knowledge of Trust PAS systems.
You must be a team player with a broad range of NHS experience with evidence of working within multidisciplinary teams and ability to show knowledge of NHS and ULTH policy's and procedures This role would provide an opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain new skills within a supportive, friendly environment.
The post holder will work to provide performance reports and presentation skills are required.
The post holder will be working Trust Wide as part of the role. Flexible working is supported within the services core hours. Base to be agreed on appointment.
Work with the Operational Services Manager and Service Manager to ensure day to day running of the Phys Sciences departments. Deputise for Operational Services Manager when required
Provide Line Management to the Administrative teams - Provide training and support regarding administrative processes to all team members
Manage the services PTLs and waiting lists - prioritising patients and balancing a number of demands on services capacity
Escalate capacity and demand issues to management - providing solutions where possible
Provide and present reports on a number of service targets and KPIs including; 18 Week RTT, DM01, Cancellation and DNA rates, Clinic Utilisation/Cancellation
Provide a number of HR functions to the department inclusive of; Appraisals, 1:1's, Absence Management, Team Meetings, Capability and performance management
Review and interpret large amounts of data including patient waiting lists, activity reports and reports from external bodies
Organise and attend Specialty Governance meetings - preparing Agendas, Minutes, Action Logs and Escalation/Assurance Reports
Be aware of Datix reports and Risks within departments
Support the teams in change management processes, service improvement initiatives and quality standard reviews
