The Informatics Clinical Nurse Specialist role at Velindre University NHS Trust in Whitchurch is a 0.6 WTE fixed-term position until March 31, 2025. The primary focus of this role is to support the implementation of the Welsh Nursing Care Record (e-Documentation) and other digital initiatives aimed at modernizing health service delivery. The position involves promoting the use of information technology to improve clinical information access and support shared decision-making in patient care.

The successful candidate will work closely with the digital lead nurse, clinical teams, and the Informatics team to ensure effective implementation and represent the organisation in strategic discussions across NHS Wales. A background as a registered nurse/midwife is required, and the role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance the digitalisation of nursing documentation, ultimately aimed at improving patient care and outcomes. Fluency in Welsh is desirable, but applicants proficient in English and/or Welsh are welcome.
