The Psychosocial Lead role at HMP Gartree involves leading the Psychosocial Substance Misuse Team within a high-security prison environment. This Band 6 position necessitates deep knowledge of substance misuse and effective treatment pathways to support patient recovery. The successful candidate will manage and supervise Band 5 Recovery Workers, conduct assessments and create care plans for individuals with complex needs, and deliver psychosocial interventions both in group settings and one-on-one. They will also be responsible for fostering relationships with key stakeholders and partners to enhance service delivery and reduce re-offending.

In this role, the Psychosocial Lead will ensure a high standard of drug and alcohol recovery services, overseeing a multidisciplinary team's operations and implementing Inclusion's policies and protocols. Additionally, the lead will participate actively in the prison's Drug Strategy, striving to improve service user outcomes, health, and well-being from entry into the prison system through to community reintegration.
