The Head of Safeguarding role at Spectrum Community Health CIC in Wakefield is designed for an experienced Nurse with a strong background in safeguarding within healthcare settings. The successful applicant will lead the safeguarding team, ensuring the protection and well-being of vulnerable individuals under the organisation’s care. Responsibilities include developing and implementing safeguarding policies, providing training and guidance to staff, conducting audits to ensure compliance, and acting as a liaison with external agencies on safeguarding concerns. The role demands a strategic approach to meet legal obligations, particularly under the Children's Act 2004 and Care Act 2014, while fostering relationships with local Safeguarding Partnerships.

As part of the Nursing and Clinical Governance Team, the Head of Safeguarding will also champion a culture of vigilance and continuous improvement in safeguarding practices, supporting the Executive Director of Nursing and Quality to provide assurance regarding service delivery to the Board.
