We are looking for a confident Domestic Assistant / Housekeeper with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You'll be working 24 hours a week (8am-4pm covering 3 days across Monday - Friday rolling rota), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet The Oaks.

About us

We are looking for an outstanding Housekeeper/Domestic Assistant with a passion for making a difference to others.

You'll be working part time 24 hours a week (8am - 4pm covering 3 days on a Monday - Friday rolling rota) at Cygnet The Oaks, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.

Cygnet Oaks is a 35 bed service specialising in high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) for men, providing a multi-disciplinary treatment programme designed to assist individuals with their return to independent living.

Depending on the individuals level of need, at Cygnet Oaks we provide different levels of support in 2 wards, the Lodge and the House;

Lodge this is a 20 bed admission ward where most service users will start their recovery journey at Cygnet Oaks. Individuals who are admitted to this ward are generally stepping down from an acute or a low secure service

House a 15 bed service for individuals to continue along their care pathway. The Lodge also contains a 4 bed step-through service. This is situated in its own corridor and has a separate living space to prepare and develop individuals towards a community placement whilst still having input from the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

Your day-to-day

  • Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
  • Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
  • Maintain & replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
  • Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures
  • Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
