St Basils is seeking a compassionate Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join their outreach service in Birmingham, focused on supporting young individuals aged 16 to 25 who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness. The role involves collaborating with various accommodation support providers and mental health partners to address the complex health and social care needs, including drug and alcohol dependency and mental health issues, faced by this vulnerable group. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, a non-judgmental approach, and a commitment to delivering high standards of care, aiming to reduce barriers to mental health support and promote recovery and long-term wellbeing.

As part of the targeted prevention and crisis services for young people, the Senior Mental Health Practitioner will work alongside other Rough Sleeper Initiative services and key statutory organisations, including Birmingham Children's Trust and Adult Social Care, to enhance the efficacy and coordination of mental health support in the community.
