The Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for a full-time Consultant Spine Surgeon to bolster their spinal trauma services within the Department of Neurosurgery, located at St. Mary's Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital in London. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in spinal trauma and will be involved in the spinal on-call rota and acute Consultant of the Week duties. The role requires collaboration with a diverse Multi-Disciplinary Team to manage both complex polytrauma and isolated spinal injuries, while also supporting departmental teaching and training programs for resident doctors.

The successful applicant will be responsible for facilitating the efficient delivery of clinical services, focusing on quality outcomes, financial management, and governance. The position includes commitments such as conducting weekly general spinal clinics, participating in fracture clinics, and holding elective operating theatre lists. Additionally, the candidate will engage in various clinical governance activities, including audits and MDT meetings, while also contributing to the education of medical students and colleagues within the North West London Trauma Network. The role demands strong leadership and management skills to promote clinical excellence across the integrated spinal services.
