The Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join their Essex Health & Justice Service, focusing on providing expert mental health support through the Street Triage Service, police custody, and courts throughout Essex. The role involves flexible shift patterns, requiring the practitioner to work long days at custody suites, during specific hours in the Street Triage Service, or standard office hours in the courts. The successful candidate will engage with vulnerable individuals within the criminal justice system, conducting screenings and assessments of their mental health and social needs, preparing written reports, and collaborating closely with Essex Police, Courts, and Probation Services.

The practitioner will play a vital role in ensuring that individuals in crisis receive appropriate support and are diverted from the criminal justice system when possible.
