Priory Hospital Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Ward Manager to lead and manage the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. The role involves overseeing the ward's operations, staffing, resource management, and compliance with policies and statutory requirements. The Ward Manager will serve as a clinical leader, mentor, and role model, fostering a culture of professionalism, learning, and development among the nursing staff. Key responsibilities include managing training and performance, maintaining care standards, ensuring patient needs are met, and facilitating effective communication within the multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will also participate in recruitment efforts, handle clinical investigations and complaints, and ensure compliance with frameworks related to mental health legislation. Additional duties include conducting clinical audits, participating in training events, and providing support to the director of clinical services as required. This position calls for a proactive approach to both nursing leadership and administrative tasks, with a commitment to enhancing patient care while contributing to the wider team and hospital environment.
