The role of "Volunteer - Leicester Health and Wellbeing" with Mental Health Matters involves supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges by providing essential information, advice, and guidance about local mental health services. Volunteers will assist in welcoming clients during weekly drop-in sessions, offering refreshments, engaging in light discussions, contributing to group activities with Recovery Workers, and promoting the service within the community. This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals seeking to improve their emotional and mental well-being.

Volunteers need not have prior experience, as comprehensive training will be provided. Ideal candidates will demonstrate empathy, a team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to engage with clients in a supportive manner. Additionally, volunteers must be over 18 and will need to complete an Enhanced DBS check. Mental Health Matters offers a supportive environment with a personalized development plan to ensure that volunteers achieve their aspirations while making a positive difference in the community. Reasonable travel expenses (up to £5 a day) will also be reimbursed.
