The Rehabilitation Assistant role with Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust focuses on supporting individuals transitioning from hospital back to their homes, facilitating their recovery in a familiar environment. The position is available both full-time and part-time in Tewkesbury, offering shifts during core hours from 07:00 to 22:00. Candidates are expected to deliver essential clinical and personal care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and maintain high care standards. While prior experience in care is beneficial, it is not required, as the Trust provides a structured development plan for new candidates, including the opportunity to achieve the Care Certificate.

Key responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility training, while monitoring progress and maintaining communication with the care team. A full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle are necessary due to the community-based nature of the role. The ideal candidate should be compassionate, motivated to learn, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team, contributing positively to individuals’ reablement and overall well-being.
