The role emphasises collaboration with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to create trauma-informed formulations for patient care. As the psychologist progresses to band 8a, they will take on responsibilities such as conducting assessments with complex service users, providing clinical supervision, leading team formulations, and contributing to quality improvement projects, audits, and training. The trust is seeking recovery-oriented team players dedicated to making a positive impact on patients' lives, with a welcoming approach for inquiries and team interactions.
DEVELOPMENT POSTS!
Due to service redesign we have opportunities for three enthusiastic Counselling or Clinical Psychologists (band 7) to progress to Senior (band 8a); come join Inpatient Adult Mental Health Services!
- Different locations (Coventry and Warwick).
- Part time/full time hours.
- Flexibility: a third of your role remote if preferred.
- Ideal for those in final training year.
Working in inpatient mental health is a great use of all skills we have as psychologists; it's a great place to learn, develop and progress to a Senior role. The role is diverse, stimulating, and thought-provoking. If you're interested in working with adults with a variety of difficulties and working with the MDT then this is the role for you. You will have a significant role collaborating with the MDT to develop trauma informed formulations that inform least restrictive care.
