Substantive post - 36 hours per week
Fixed-Term contract/ secondment to September 2025 - 37.5 hours per week.
We are looking for a dynamic individuals to join our Operations Centre team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Department and expand on your current skill set, which will include system wide interaction and real time operational problem solving.
The Operations Centre is the hub of the Hospital and ultimately responsible for patient safety and capacity management within the Trust.
You will work with the hospital 24/7 team to support clinical demand and support patient safety out of hours.
This environment will give you a varied and fast-paced experience where no two shifts will be the same.
The Senior Sister/Charge Nurse role covers 24 hours a day. The role is distinctively different during in hours and out of hours. In hours, includes working with the Divisions to achieve performance indicators and quality standards. Out of hours, you will support the Site Matron for escalation processes, operational and staffing issues, escalating to the on-call teams as required and lead the co-ordination of the Hospital 24/7 Team, prioritising and delegating workload and resources effectively.
Full or part-time hours considered
We are looking for individuals who demonstrates resilience, exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain a level head under operational pressures.
Exceptional communication is key to this role. We are looking for a candidate who can communicate in a professional manner with a diverse group of people to achieve the best outcome for our patients and staff.
Excellent organisational, negotiation and problem-solving skills are vital to this role, as you will be working at a fast pace, balancing the demands of many competing areas.
