The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Estates Carpenter/Building Technician to carry out reactive and planned carpentry maintenance across its sites in Banbury. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) requires a candidate with a City and Guilds Crafts Certificate or equivalent training in maintenance carpentry. The successful applicant will perform a wide range of carpentry tasks—including the repair and maintenance of doors, frames, and furniture—while adhering to health and safety regulations. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and the capacity to manage changing workloads are essential, along with experience supervising maintenance assistants and liaising with contractors.

In this role, you will support the implementation and management of the Trust’s engineering and building maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and legislative requirements. Responsibilities include prioritizing urgent maintenance needs that impact patient experience, overseeing maintenance processes, and collaborating with management to develop and review Estates plans.
