The Children's Safeguarding Advisor position at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust involves working within the Safeguarding Team across both acute and community health services in Lewisham and Woolwich. The role requires a sound understanding of safeguarding, with at least three years of post-qualification experience in child protection and working with vulnerable families. Key responsibilities include providing support, supervision, and training to staff, engaging in multi-agency collaboration including attendance at MARAC and MASH, and assessing referrals for children aged 0-18. Strong communication skills are essential, as the advisor will also be responsible for delivering safeguarding training and supervision. The position includes line management of a safeguarding administrator and participating in clinical supervision with the Named Nurse for Safeguarding.
