The Community Receptionist at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust will serve as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors at the children's reception. Responsibilities include greeting individuals attending healthcare appointments, managing the patient administration system for patient arrivals and departures, booking follow-up appointments, and addressing general inquiries. The role requires ensuring the timely and accurate handling of referrals, appointment scheduling to meet waiting time targets, and maintaining accurate patient information within the system.

In addition, the receptionist will work collaboratively with managers and clinicians to address appointment issues, liaise with Health Records for clinic notes accessibility, and ensure clinical correspondence is properly documented in the electronic patient record (EPR) system. Other administrative tasks and telephone inquiries must be managed courteously and efficiently, with a focus on providing excellent patient service and maintaining the highest standards of care in equipment and resource utilisation.
