The Neonatal Network Lead Pharmacist position at Northampton General Hospital involves supporting the East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (EMNODN) in optimizing medication management across neonatal units. The successful candidate will collaborate with local pharmacists, the EMNODN team, and various stakeholders to implement national recommendations, enhance clinical pharmacy pathways, and ensure safe and effective medication practices in neonatal care. The role emphasises leadership in clinical audits, research coordination, and training while managing compliance with medicines legislation.

Additionally, the pharmacist will develop strategies for effective communication within the network, promote best practices, and provide expert advice on neonatal pharmaceutical matters. Responsibilities also include creating and supervising guidelines, overseeing pharmacy services development to improve care quality, and contributing to the education of healthcare professionals involved in neonatal care. The role entails predominantly home working, with a focus on collaboration and improvement across the wider neonatal healthcare landscape.
