The Healthcare Cleaning Operative role at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust in Batley is a part-time position, requiring 16 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday, specifically from 6 am to 9:15 am. The operative will be integral to the Facilities Team, focusing on maintaining cleanliness across various areas of Beckside Court, in accordance with National Standards of Cleanliness. Key responsibilities include performing domestic cleaning duties, completing deep cleaning tasks, operating cleaning machinery, and ensuring the safe use of cleaning supplies while following health and safety protocols. Effective communication with clinical staff for prioritized cleaning tasks and adherence to waste disposal and recycling policies are also essential.

The role emphasises flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to providing a high-quality service that enhances the hospital environment for patients, staff, and visitors. While particular attention is given to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, the operative will also be responsible for reporting issues like damaged furniture or cleanliness defects and assisting in patient comfort. It is noted that this position does not currently meet the criteria for visa sponsorship.
