The role of Trust Doctor CT1/2 in Trauma and Orthopaedics at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust in Worthing is a full-time position that involves participating in a full shift rota system, with a commitment to working one in ten shifts. The primary responsibilities include providing day-to-day care for in-patients on the wards, HDU, and ITU, and being actively involved in pre-operative assessments and surgical procedures, assisting in theatres whenever possible. The postholder will also conduct outpatient consultations, present and discuss cases with supervising consultants, and oversee the management of patients on various orthopaedic wards.

Additionally, the Trust Doctor will work closely with F2 doctors and be responsible for the admissions and initial management of emergency cases in trauma orthopaedics. The position encompasses participation in ward rounds, operating lists, and outpatient clinics, ensuring comprehensive care for patients and collaboration with the medical team to deliver high-quality orthopaedic services.
