The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is offering one or possibly two Trust grade resident doctor positions at Foundation Year 2 or core surgical training equivalent levels in Trauma and Orthopaedics at North Devon District Hospital, with 6 to 8-month placements starting in December. These roles are intended for doctors seeking additional experience prior to applying for core or specialty training in surgical disciplines, with the potential for contract extensions and rotations into other specialties like General Surgery, Urology, or Emergency Medicine if available.

The responsibilities include participating in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and operating sessions, managing perioperative patients, assisting in surgical procedures, supervising foundation doctors, and engaging in educational activities such as teaching and clinical audits.
