The Functional Skills Tutor for NHS England Choices College will be responsible for delivering tailored Maths and English training to young adults with learning difficulties, disabilities, or autism as part of a supported internship program aimed at enhancing their employment readiness. The role involves working in both Southampton and Portsmouth, alongside remote or office-based work, and requires a driving license and access to a vehicle. The tutor will closely collaborate with the Education Quality Assurance Manager to ensure educational outcomes are met and maintain a high employment transition rate for students.

Candidates must be educated to degree level or possess an equivalent qualification, along with a recognized post-16 or adult teaching qualification (minimum Level 3). The ideal applicant will have extensive experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) in both group and one-on-one settings, strong communication skills, report writing abilities, and a passion for helping these students reach their full potential. Familiarity with Systematic Instruction methodologies is advantageous.
