The Pain Clinic Administrator at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust will be part of the administration team supporting both national and local Pain services, working with adolescent and adult patients. Key responsibilities include managing patient inquiries via phone and email, processing referrals, scheduling outpatient appointments, and ensuring high standards of patient experience. The role requires strong communication, organisation, and time management skills, with a capacity to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Although prior administrative or customer service experience is preferred, it is not essential.

Additionally, the administrator will be responsible for registering patients on the Millennium system, maintaining accurate records, ordering supplies through the UNIT 4 purchasing system, and participating in departmental meetings. The position demands flexibility and initiative, as the administrator may also provide support across different areas of the specialty as needed.

More about the NHS
The National Health Service (NHS) is a cornerstone of healthcare in the United Kingdom, established in 1948 with the simple yet profound principle of providing healthcare to all citizens, free at the point of use. This revolutionary system aimed to ensure that access to medical services would not depend on an individual’s financial situation, a concept that has since become fundamental to British societal values.Learn more...
