If you want to make a difference to mental health care in Kent and Medway, and gain experience of being a non-executive NHS board member, we have an exciting opportunity available.
We are looking for a talented person who can bring strategic vision, and robust oversight and challenge to key areas where we want to continuously improve. In particular:
We invite applications from people with demonstrable senior experience in the third sector, community and/or social care organisations, or who have valuable life experience and personal motivation in advocating for those affected by mental ill health.
We recognise that diverse boards make the best decisions, and so we want our board to truly reflect the diversity of the people we serve.
Prior board experience is not essential. We provide training and development and will support the successful candidate to build their personal and professional capability.

This is a two-year fixed tenure role, and a minimum of three days a month would be expected to undertake the role successfully. We operate using a hybrid model, with some meetings online but one to two days per month would be in person in Kent. There is a developmental component to the opportunity, and we will support the successful candidate to build their personal and professional capability and bridge knowledge gap
