Were looking for a general Sonographer to support our Diagnostic World ultrasound services across Surrey. This is a full-time permanent position.

You will make healthcare better for our patients by undertaking ultrasound procedures efficiently and effectively for both the public and private sectors; adhering to best practice of ultrasound technique in line with company policy and guidelines.

What you will do:

  • Undertake ultrasound procedures in line with existing modality-specific clinical guidelines and protocols (aligned with RCR & SOR Standards).
  • Undertake examinations in line with the patient referrals adhering to organisational guidelines.
  • Manage a safe, effective, caring and well-led environment responsive to our patients, customers and staff requirements.
  • Support the Clinical Lead and Training Lead when required.
  • Support the Operational Management Team with operational queries and participate in team meetings ensuring effective communication within the service.
  • Support the Clinic HCA as required to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
  • Assist trainee sonographers and other colleagues in the achievement of their learning outcomes.


About you:

  • Hold a minimum of a PGD in Ultrasound (or equivalent) and be a member of an appropriate professional body with valid registration.
  • Have significant clinical experience as a qualified sonographer, undertaking a wide range of procedures at a minimum, General and Gynaecology.
  • Hold excellent scanning and reporting skills.
  • Hold a full clean UK driving licence and have access to a car.
  • Demonstrate an appreciation of patient care.
  • Be resident in an area which is reasonably commutable to the location of the role.
