The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a full-time Patient Experience/PALS Assistant to join their PALS and Complaints Team in Stanmore. This position involves independently managing a caseload, providing advice and support to patients, families, and the public regarding Trust services. Key responsibilities include acting as the main point of contact for queries and concerns, offering empathetic assistance throughout the complaints process, and maintaining accurate records of interactions. The successful candidate should have previous experience in managing PALS or complaints, strong communication skills, and a professional demeanor to effectively handle challenging situations.

This role requires collaboration with both clinical and non-clinical staff to resolve concerns swiftly and to ensure a high-quality service is delivered. The post holder will also contribute to improving patient experience through participation in quality improvement projects and provide training to other staff. Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to remain professional under pressure are essential, as the assistant will often engage with individuals expressing a range of emotions. The position is office-based, with occasional travel to other sites as needed.
