The "Whole School Approach Practitioner" role with the Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in Scarborough or Malton is focused on enhancing the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people through a preventive and early intervention framework. The practitioner will be responsible for developing and implementing a whole school approach (WSA) to wellbeing by creating mental health policies, resources, training programs, and supporting education staff in improving their skills in student wellbeing. This role requires coordination with schools and stakeholders to facilitate WSA activities and resources, while also providing direct assessments and low-intensity cognitive-behavioral interventions for young people struggling with mental health issues.

This permanent, part-time position (30 hours per week) emphasises community participation and the promotion of positive wellbeing cultures in educational settings. The practitioner will work with limited supervision alongside the leadership team to monitor the WSA approach, ensuring effective delivery of services aimed at minimizing the impact of mental health conditions on children's lives and promoting their recovery and social inclusion.
