The role of Mental Health Practitioner at East London NHS Foundation Trust involves providing essential support through a crisis response service for individuals experiencing mental health crises in North East London. The position is based at Mile End Hospital and requires the practitioner to respond to calls from NHS 111 and the Blue Light Emergency Services, offering direct assistance to those in need, including comprehensive risk assessments and crisis care plan development. The practitioner will also supervise band 4 crisis response practitioners and collaborate with the senior management team to ensure effective crisis support and adherence to performance targets.

Candidates are expected to possess strong communication skills, particularly over the phone, and it is preferred that applicants have personal or professional experience with the local communities. The role includes a rotational shift pattern and emphasises ongoing training, supervision, and staff well-being, making it a supportive environment for those committed to mental health services.
