The role of Theatre Scrub Practitioner at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves delivering high-quality patient care during peri-operative and post-operative phases. The practitioner will undertake complex clinical responsibilities across scrub, anaesthetic, or recovery areas, while also managing the clinical environment and overseeing junior staff. Additionally, they will provide skilled assistance to surgeons, ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of medical equipment, and communicate effectively during patient handovers.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently, extend their clinical skills, and collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and plan care needs. They are expected to act as a role model for less experienced staff and assist in training nurses and trainees.
