The role of Consultant in Dermatology at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust involves providing comprehensive secondary care services within a multi-disciplinary team at Tameside Hospital, including both adult and paediatric clinics and minor operations. The consultant will participate in outpatient services, contribute to the development of clinical protocols, manage inpatient referrals, and supervise junior doctors. Active involvement in clinical governance, service development, and effective communication with other departments is essential.

The position is part-time, comprising 6.5 programmed activities (PAs), with expectations of participating in departmental meetings, clinical audits, and further development of the department's services. The role emphasises collaboration with team members, including cancer nurse specialists and paediatric colleagues, and requires a commitment to training and appraising junior medical staff, while also addressing complex clinical cases through regular meetings and consultations.
