The Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for dedicated nurses to join their Gastroenterology team on Ward 3D in Prescot. The role involves providing high-quality patient care for individuals with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, including GI bleeds, endoscopy procedures, and disorders related to palliative care and substance dependency. Successful candidates will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, be flexible in their shift patterns, and be responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans.

Staff Nurses are expected to maintain professional nursing standards, engage in continuous learning, and ensure effective communication within the ward and with other departments. Responsibilities also include supervising healthcare assistants, participating in research projects, and contributing to the safeguarding of vulnerable patients. Completion of an Enhanced DBS check is required, and candidates should ideally have experience in a similar setting, although support will be provided for those new to the specialisation.
