The Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Mental Health Practitioner RMN/SW/OT to join the Mental Health Support Team for Children and Young People in Education (MHST) based at Burnley General Hospital. This permanent, full-time position involves working 37.5 hours per week within educational settings to provide early intervention and clinical support for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues, primarily anxiety and low mood. The successful candidate will undertake mental health assessments, deliver evidence-based interventions, and collaborate with schools, families, and other stakeholders to promote emotional well-being and improve access to mental health services.

Candidates should have experience working with children and their families, knowledge of educational and safeguarding issues, and the ability to facilitate therapeutic interventions. Essential qualifications include completion of a relevant IAPT course and membership with an accredited body. The role requires a commitment to inclusive values and diversity, with an expectation that annual leave aligns with school holidays, barring urgent circumstances.
