We are recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Specialist who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the

In conjunction with Cancer Services, the head and neck and NSS multidisciplinary teams, diagnostics and tertiary services the post holder will assist with the clinical aspects of the co-ordination of the diagnostic pathway for head and neck cancer, and non specific symptoms ensuring faster diagnosis where a cancer is presentincorporating information provision, physical and psychological support.
The Trust already provides straight-to-test pathways for cancer, including clinical triage processes, and this role will be key to developing and maintaining these pathways for head and neck cancer. The post holder will need to act autonomously but in close collaboration with Cancer Services, the Faster Diagnosis nursing team, a team of consultant surgeons, imaging, endoscopy, other tertiary trusts when applying specialist expertise to all facets of care for patients with suspected cancer.

The role will be part of a growing team of nurses who will focus on the diagnostic part of the cancer pathway, focusing on streamlining timed diagnostic pathways and meeting the new 28-day Faster Diagnosis Standard for cancer.
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team, to offer an individualised service and provide direct support and advice to patients with suspected cancer during various and often complex diagnostic tests with a focus on meeting the 28 day Faster Diagnosis Standard and other Cancer Waiting Times targets.
To maintain nurse led clinic's whereby the concerns and needs of the patient's and their family/friends and carers are appropriately channelled.
