The Staff Nurse position at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust involves working in a busy County outpatient department, where the nurse will deliver various services and procedures, including venesection and infusions. Key responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care programs, and evaluating their effectiveness. The role entails managing a group of patients, leading and supervising clinical staff, and acting as a role model for students and nursing assistants to ensure a high standard of clinical nursing care is maintained.

In addition to clinical duties, the post holder will be expected to take charge of the unit when rostered and competent, contributing to a professional and positive image of the nursing team and the organisation.
