The Clinical Pharmacist at Penryn Surgery will be responsible for implementing effective medicine management within the practice, identifying improvement areas and managing changes to enhance patient care. This role involves developing a medicines management plan, training the medicines management team, and providing clinical supervision. The pharmacist will serve as the primary contact for patients querying their medications, conduct medication reviews, manage repeat prescriptions, and respond to drug alerts.

Additionally, the position requires collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure rational and cost-effective prescribing, as well as maintaining accurate patient medication records and producing reports on practice progress. Emphasizing professional development, the pharmacist will participate in training, share learning with team members, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Furthermore, confidentiality and adherence to legal standards are critical aspects of the role, alongside promoting equality and diversity in patient care.
