The Rotational Pharmacist position at the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust in Peterborough is a developmental role aimed at shaping an enthusiastic pharmacist into a skilled professional. Initially appointed at Band 6, the post-holder will complete a list of competencies and progress to Band 7 upon successful completion. The pharmacist will be involved in providing specialist clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation services across three locations, including Cavell Centre Hospital and community rehabilitation wards. The role emphasises collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective medication use, as well as the ongoing development of the pharmacist's expertise through post-graduate education.

Key responsibilities include assisting with medicines management services, participating in ward-based medication schemes, counseling patients about their medications, contributing to multidisciplinary meetings, and supporting education and training regarding medication-related matters. The pharmacist will also engage in activities related to clinical trials, audits, and near-patient testing. This position is a unique opportunity to play a significant role in advancing electronic prescribing and enhancing patient care within the Trust.
