An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Imaging Coordinator for Radiology. We require someone who has excellent organisational and Interpersonal skills and who can continuously improve themselves and help others to do so within our department. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate professionalism and conscientious working. You must be able to work to manage your workload and work to tight deadlines.
This position is a full time working 37.5 hours a week. Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 17:00.
This role will be based at Pinderfields Hospital however we are a 3-site trust and as part of your role, you may be required to work across all three sites (Pinderfields, Pontefract and Dewsbury).We offer a regular staff shuttle service between all 3 sites for staff convenience and ease.
The Mid Yorkshire Trust has excellent travel links to Leeds, Sheffield, Doncaster and Bradford. We are close to both the M1 and the M62.

To provide a central point of contact for all enquiries or advice with respect to both internal (hospital) referrals and external (GP) queries/requests for expediting.
To minimise the disruption of the radiologists workflow through ensuring efficient and effective communication of enquiries throughout the working day.
About usTo act as the main point of contact for all medical staff and GPs on behalf of the Consultant Radiologists ensuring that all queries are answered with skill, sensitivity and in a courteous and professional manner.
To act as the departments key Image Exchange Portal (IEP) link person coordinating requests to send images out and receive images in ensuring that these are appropriately processed.
To Monitor the unverified list and process as appropriate
To obtain adequate information for previous external scans to be entered on the Radiology Information System.
Play a lead role with administrative tasks in the department e.g. utilising IT systems in line with the departments Key Performance Indicators
To have a sound knowledge of the Radiology Information System to ensure efficient and accurate use of the appointments diary, stats module, report information list and reporting worklists.
To be familiar with all local booking rules and to ensure accurate patient records are maintained within the Radiology Information System.
Promote effective customer focused communication with patients and service users.
To respond to telephone and / or face to face enquiries complying with departmental guidance
To assist with the confidential management of all types of patient record and ensure that all documentation is returned to the appropriate department is accurately complete and promptly dispatched.
To be responsible for the accurate and timely storing/scanning of records, e.g. referral letters.
To report maintenance and domestic repairs to appropriate wards/departments on instruction from the departmental manager.
Operate trust IT systems ensuring correct data is held on the departmental database & Trust systems, and update as necessary.
The post holder will give relevant assistance and training as and when required to support all colleagues.
To carry out general administration duties and provide clerical assistance, as required.
Receive, sort and distribute goods and post delivered to the ward/department.
Attend regular departmental meetings. Attendance at least half of the meetings each year is an expectation.
