A rare exciting opportunity has arisen in the renal ambulatory care unit (RACU) for the role of Renal Support Worker (RACU).
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual, who is a team player but can also work independently using initiative within their sphere of competence.
As a member of the RACU team the Renal Support Worker will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of care and experience to patients who visit the department. The post holder will work primarily at St Luke's on RACU supporting the Transplant and the Advanced Kidney Care Teams, this role is a job share between the two services.
The role will be multifaceted as it is a combined clinical and clerical role. The post holder will be required to meet and greet patients, prepare them for their appointment, perform observations, and if required phlebotomy.
Good communication skills will be required as you will be working within a team, will be patient facing and also will be required to make calls to and from patients.
Good IT skills are essential in Bradford we have electronic patient record, also you will be involved in data collection for both teams which will require familiarity with programmes such as Excel and Word.
We are asking for previous experience working within healthcare but will provide all training required to work in this specialist area.
Renal Support Worker (RACU)
will have completed a Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care with Renal Modules + on employment complete COMPETENCY FRAMEWORK: The Administration of Medication by Renal Support Workers - Renal Services,
Trainee Renal Support Worker (RACU)
will have a Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care & will need to fulfil the additional criteria below as a trainee during their Probationary period:
