The Enhanced Support Officer position at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust involves working a 24-hour night shift, consisting of two 12-hour shifts. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain security within Sheffield Children's Hospital to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This includes patrolling the hospital grounds, providing a first-line response to incidents of violence, monitoring CCTV for unwanted activities, assisting with security emergencies, and supporting staff with various operational tasks such as waste removal and deliveries. The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and effective communication skills to interact positively with patients and staff.
