The North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Biomedical Scientist for a 12-month fixed-term contract in the Histology Department at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. The role, requiring 37.5 hours per week, is open to HCPC registered biomedical scientists with experience in histology. Key responsibilities include sample processing, embedding, microtomy, immunohistochemistry, special stains, and category A tissue dissection, with approximately 24,000 diagnostic requests managed by the department, which is accredited under UKAS ISO 15189 standards.
