We have an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team in Coventry, West Midlands starting in January 2025. This is a maternity cover role where the support worker will assist our client, who is in his forties, with appointments and care needs. The client has physical limitations, as well as memory processing and confidence issues, so the support worker will need to be compassionate, patient, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
The Brain Injury Support Worker will be responsible for engaging with personalised routines, completing daily living activities including personal hygiene and mobility, administering medication and monitoring health conditions, providing emotional support and companionship, maintaining accurate records of care provided, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care, the ability to deal with challenging behaviours, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
