MIDWIFERY MULTI-DISCIPLINARY NHS NMC NON-INVASIVE VENTILATION
Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and innovative nurse for the position of Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse at the Neptune Respiratory Unit in Swindon. This role involves overseeing a skilled nursing team in a 36-bed unit that treats a variety of respiratory conditions, including Tracheostomies, Chest Drains, and non-invasive ventilation. The successful candidate will support the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in delivering effective nursing leadership and ensuring the adherence to the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) code of conduct, while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient care and experience.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Junior Sister/Charge Nurse will participate in the development and implementation of care standards and clinical guidelines, lead and motivate nursing staff, and engage in ongoing professional development. The role requires taking charge in the absence of the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse and acting as a clinical expert and resource across various specialties. The position supports a mix of management and direct patient care, promoting evidence-based practices within the unit.
