In this impactful role, youll provide essential dermatology care to NHS patients referred by local GPs, ensuring that every patient receives high-quality, compassionate care. Youll be responsible for delivering thorough, professional, and ethical dermatological services, following both GMC guidelines and our local standards. As a Dermatology Clinician with Communitas Clinics, youll conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, and manage a variety of skin conditions in a community setting, ensuring accessible care for NHS-referred patients. Your responsibilities include creating personalized treatment plans, performing minor dermatological procedures, and offering patient-centered guidance for self-management. You'll collaborate closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals, maintain accurate and detailed patient records, and uphold high standards of clinical governance. This role also emphasizes professional development, ensuring you stay current with dermatology advancements and contribute to continuous improvement in patient care.

Clinical Triage and Assessment:Conduct clinical triage for all dermatology referrals and provide thorough assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and advice for both acute and chronic dermatological conditions.

Minor Surgical Procedures:Perform minor surgeries, including excision of low-risk basal cell carcinoma, following national guidelines.

Patient Management:Offer prescription management in line with CCG formulary and support patient self-management plans.

Professional Development:Engage in continuous personal and professional development, maintaining clinical competence through relevant literature and training in accordance with GMC and Royal College of General Practitioners standards.

Communication:Ensure clear and sensitive communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, maintaining confidentiality and dignity.

Quality Service Delivery:Adhere to NSF, NICE guidelines, and evidence-based care. Participate in self and peer reviews, audits, and shared learning to improve care quality.

Leadership and Teamwork:Contribute to clinical governance meetings, support team development, and foster a collaborative environment.

Risk Management:Assess and manage risks, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff in line with health and safety guidelines.

Information Management:Utilize clinical software (SystmOne) for accurate record-keeping and data management, supporting audit and monitoring processes


Learning and Development
:Maintain and update mandatory training, attend safeguarding and life support training, and educate patients and colleagues.
