An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Team, based within the Respiratory service at Great Ormond Street Hospital. We are looking for an experienced patient pathway co-ordinator to join our team.

The post holder will provide comprehensive clinical and administrative support to the Cystic Fibrosis Clinical Nurse Specialists & Multidisciplinary Team. The CF Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital is a multidisciplinary service specialising in the diagnosis, evaluation and management of children and young people with Cystic Fibrosis. The unit is staffed by a team of paediatric respiratory consultants, clinical nurse specialists, physiotherapists, dietitians, pharmacists, clinical psychologists and administrative support staff. The team accept referrals from the National New-born Screening Service, GPs, paediatricians and paediatric surgical teams.

-family history of Cystic Fibrosis

We welcome applicants with experience in managing patient pathways from new referrals and outpatients (both at GOSH and shared care centres). Our patient group is looking for a dynamic enthusiastic individual with exceptional communication skills.

The post includes

  • The coordination of CF outpatient clinics and annual assessments
  • Meet and greet patients and families to the unit
  • Coordinate (Order and book) investigations and phlebotomy relevant to outpatients appointments
  • Obtain vitals signs, collect and send specimens as required or directed by the CF CNS'
  • Support the CF CNS' with outreach appointments - booking, collating equipment and managing specimens
  • Providing telephone support
  • General administrative support
