The role of Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurse in the Children's Emergency Department at St Helier, part of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, involves providing comprehensive emergency care to children with acute and urgent health needs. The successful candidate will work alongside a dedicated team, including paediatric advanced care practitioners and various specialist nurses, in a purpose-built facility. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, supervising and educating other team members, developing advanced nursing skills, and advocating for patients and their families.

The post holder will;
- provide evidenced based, high quality assessment and care to children and their families attending the Emergency Department
- supervise, support and educate other team members, including nursing and medical students
- develop and maintain advanced Emergency Nursing skills
- advise on health promotion and prevention of illness/injury
- advocate for children and families
- ensure safe and effective clinical practice and enhance patient experience.
